Unit 2: Stuff that Moves

Upon completion of this unit, you will be able to:
  • Identify and describe how the setup(), draw(), and random() system functions work
  • Declare new functions and variables to streamline program coding
  • Identify and apply best practices for commenting and formatting within a program
  • Apply aforementioned functions to the existing ball graphic program to animate and move the ball
  • Engage with students about the development of a Pong-like game and provide input on one another’s continued efforts at creating their own programs

Boss Battle Quiz 2

For this boss battle, you’re going to build a program that moves a rectangular logo from the upper left corner of the graphics window the the lower right corner. Initially, the logo may look a little odd, but by the end of the last question in the quiz, you’ll see the payoff in the final version.

As you did for Boss Battle 1, you’ll build the program by answering questions to get lines of code.

Feel free to open up processing to a new sketch and try stuff out if you’d like as you take the quiz. As I’ve been saying, it’s not about getting the right answer; it’s about understanding how to figure out the right answer

Because I want to save the output from final version of this program until the end, to the right is the output from the next to last version of the program as a guide to where we’re headed.
